Nachiket has a Masters degree in Industrial Design from Industrial Design Center, IIT Mumbai. Graduated in Mechanical Engineering from Pune University. Has a rich experience in the field of product design for software, automobile, medical equipment’s, electronic appliances & craft-based products.
He completed his PhD on ‘Study of Impact of Product Design Processes on success of new products’ from University of Pune. Nachiket has worked as a Strategist & executioner offering 20 years of design, innovation led transformational experience in various industries. Result focused with proven ability to demonstrate success through insightful market pulse, effective resource management and appropriate technology deployment.
Worked as Director, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development, Science & Technology Park, Pune. Involved in mentoring innovators and new technology startups.
Worked as Head, Research and Development team for Araymond India - a 150 year old French multinational company in the auto component space. Established the Araymond Technology Center in Pune.
Worked as Head of Innovation Center and GM Product Design & Development at Mahindra Composites, Pune for ten years. Worked as Principle Designer at Forbes Marshall, Pune for five years.
He is recipient of three ICERP-JEC Innovation awards in composites for automobile and wind energy applications in 2008 & 2011. He is also the recipient of BW-NID Design excellence award in 2004.
Founder of Bamboo Vishwa, established in 2004 is an association of bamboo enthusiasts working to popularize bamboo and its applications. He is also the Director He is member of the Advisory board of Maharashtra Bamboo Development Board constituted by the Government of Maharashtra.
