Overview:

Vishal holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Production engineering from Shivaji university and Master’s degree from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.He has over 20 years of industry experience and has worked in the field of Plastic moulded Furniture design, Bathroom fittings, Consumer electronics, travel goods design- Soft and hard luggage, graphic design- Brand identity design, catalogue design, web design and product interface design. He has launched 50+ products in the market and owns many design registrations and a patent on his name.

His prior experience involved working with brands like BPL,VIP bags, Carlton travel goods,Alfa,Footloose and Safari bags. Before shifting to academics, he spent 8.5 years as a Head of Design with India’s largest plastic processing company ‘The Supreme Industries Ltd.’ During his career he played a pivotal role in setting up three design studios from scratch.

He was a founder of Maharashtrian lifestyle brand ‘Okaka’ and sold his products in India and abroad. He has received much recognition for his well derived kitsch products inspired by rural Maharashtrian culture and lifestyle.

He co-founded ‘Iidenrt Design’ an Industrial design studio based out of Pune catering to consumer electronics,furniture,white goods and also communication design.

He started Photography as a hobby during his school days working in different genres like wildlife, bird and landscape photography. Currently he is pursuing fashion and portrait photography as his second career option.

Apart from profession he represented his college as a Captain of cricket team. He is an avid traveller and trekker. He likes to explore things and guides people to travel for the best experiences.
