Overview:
Susmita born and brought up in Guwahati Assam. Susmita is passionate to learn new things and believes that experience teach us a lot and constantly working on to improve her skills of learning. She gained research expertise in the field of ergonomics from IIT Guwahati and received the Ph.D. degree for her work on ‘Occupational Vibration.’ She graduated from SNDT Bombay in Ergonomics. She was associated with a well-equipped ‘Ergonomics Laboratory’ at the Department of Design, IIT Guwahati, and carried out her research work in Ergonomics/ Human Factors. Her research interests span Physical Ergonomics (Product and Workstation design), Cognitive Ergonomics (Information processing), Design and work environment, Design and Occupational Health. She carries 2 years of academic job experience and 5 years of teaching assistantship at IITG, along with 5 years of research experience. She has conducted workshops/ webinars related to Ergonomics/Human Factors, Occupational Health and Safety. She has published research papers in international journals and in various refereed international conference proceedings with ISBN.
She also writes articles, poems and stories published in Local Assamese newspaper.
