The MIT School of Design offers a comprehensive four-year Bachelor of Design course affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), featuring specialized tracks in BDes. in Product Design, BDes. in Communication Design, and BDes. in UX/UI Design. Established in 2020, the school's inaugural batch commenced in the academic year 2020-21, guided by the Chief Mentor, Prof. Uday Athavankar, former HOD of the Industrial Design Centre at the Indian Institute of Technology Mumbai, and other industry and academia experts.
The curriculum, developed in close collaboration with MIT Institute of Design, Loni, encompasses dedicated courses in Product Design, Communication Design, and UX/UI Design. Situated within the MIT Academy of Engineering (MITAOE) campus, the school benefits from a unique environment surrounded by various engineering disciplines and the School of Humanities and Engineering Sciences. This setting fosters a technology-driven design curriculum, equipping learners with specialized skills for Product, Communication, and UX/UI design to meet industry challenges.

INDIA'S MOST PRESTIGIOUS DESIGN APTITUTE TEST
All India Council for Technical education ( AICTE) has approved to run a Bachelor of Design
program at MITAOE campus with Bachelor of Design certification awarded by Savitribai Phule
Pune University ( SPPU).
MITAOE School of Design, Alandi-Pune, MITAOE is the first institute where a Bachelor of
Design certificate is awarded by SPPU.
Admission process will be done centrally through the CET cell of Maharashtra state. CET cell
also conducts entrance exams for BE, BTech, B Pharmacy, B Architecture for Graduate and Post
graduate courses.
Students appearing for MAH-B Design CET 2024 entrance exam which is conducted by Directorate
of Arts, Maharashtra state will only be eligible for admission at MIT school of Design,
MITAOE, Pune.
B.Des Program: 10+2 (Any of the State Boards/ CBSE/ ICSE/ ISC/ CIE/ IB/ NIOS or equivalent exam) from any stream.
